Jessica Trethowan is a registered member of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia with an accredited four-year Bachelor of Health Sciences in Naturopathy from Endeavour College, as well as a Bachelor of Health Science in Rehabilitation Counselling from La Trobe University..
Jessica has experience treating a wide range of health conditions with a special interest in men’s health, anxiety, depression, fatigue, burn out and sleep problems and her caring nature ensures that her main goals are to assist you in reaching and obtaining optimal health.
Jessica is passionate about the ways in which herbal and nutritional medicine can work together with conventional medicine in treating serious conditions. She loves educating others about their health and the small steps that can be taken to achieve life-long health and wellbeing.
As well as this, Jessica has a passion for volunteering and sharing her knowledge with others. In 2012, she worked in Cambodia teaching basic health and hygiene to local school students. In 2015, she went to Fitzroy Crossing, WA to assist in implementing a healthy eating program aimed at decreasing the incidence of diabetes within the local indigenous community and more recently, she worked in Fiji providing health care and nutritional education to the some of the country’s poorest villages.
The starting point for every therapeutic relationship is a deep respect for each individual. Jessica greatly values each client’s unique life experiences. A respectful partnership is developed based around the patient's goals and needs. Informed by regular patient feedback, treatment is individually tailored from a range of therapeutic approaches including diet and lifestyle advice, evidence-based herbal medicine and high quality nutritional supplements.
