Rebecca has been involved in the natural health industry for over a decade, since completing a Bachelor of Naturopathy in 2003.

She is a passionate foodie and first came to how health can be impacted by food after her father avoided triple by-pass heart surgery and drug therapy entirely by changing his diet and lifestyle habits. Today she couples realistic diet suggestions with a strong commitment to evidence-based care, to achieve lasting health results in a practical and achievable way.

Rebecca is particular passionate about helping people with acne and had her own personal experiences with this as a young adult, so understands and attends to the mental health impact.

A lot of acne is driven by hormone changes, so Rebecca also treats a lot menstrual and hormonal irregularities that occur in PCOS, heavy menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, post natal changes, fertility issues, peri-menopause and menopause.

There is also an overlap between female reproductive health and thyroid disorders that is often overlooked or undetected. It is important not to just to balance the thyroid, but its critical to reduce the thyroid antibodies as this is a source of inflammation. All of this is entirely achievable.

In addition to acne Rebecca is also skilled at treating other skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, hives, warts, fungal infections. These are often connected to digestive health and/or food sensitivities which Rebecca will assist you in identifying. Common symptoms associated with the skin and or digestive issues are IBS, reflux or heartburn, as well as bloating, stomach pain, constipation and diarrhoea. Rebecca will assist in discovering the cause and restoring health to all systems.

Rebecca works closely with all doctors and specialists to safely achieve lasting results.

In addition to private practice, Rebecca has previously acted as a regulator of medicines at the TGA, and managed a government project funded by the Commonwealth National Health Department and Medical Research Council to create clinical guidelines for health professionals. She has also peer-reviewed Naturopathic academic texts prior to publication and authored four chapters for the current issue of the industry’s staple text Herbs & Natural Supplements, An Evidence Based Guide. Currently, she balances her client time with lecturing at Endeavour College of Natural Health.

Testimonials*

"When I first came to see Rebecca about my cystic acne, I was unhappy with my skin and it was effecting my self esteem. I had already tried the pill, prescription creams and antibiotics for 10yrs, none of which made a lasting difference and the antibiotics caused digestives problems. Rebecca identified the cause of the acne and restored digestive health, which has also cleared my skin. I've been without acne now for at least 5 months. When I look in the mirror I feel confident and happy with my skin and friends comment on how healthy I look! Thanks Rebecca!" Emily, Newport

“Before I came to see Rebecca I had terrible eczema all over my arms, fingers and sometimes my legs, since childhood. It was embarrassing, particularly as a teenager and into my twenties. People would think I’d fallen over and scarred my arms. Rebecca is very easy to talk to and explains everything clearly, as to how the treatments will help and how long it will take. Since seeing Rebecca the eczema has gone away and the scarring decreased significantly” Chelsea, Eltham
